Embodied Freedom

Learn the Language of Your Body. Create Inner Alignment.

Live Free & Clear™

Something is in the way

You may know what you want. You may even know what you need to do.

But something keeps getting in the way.

Your mind says GO. Your body says NOPE.

You overthink decisions. Hold back what you really feel. Carry responsibilities that aren't entirely yours. Push through pain or stress. Keep repeating patterns you thought you'd already moved beyond.

And sometimes, despite everything you've learned and accomplished, you still don't feel completely at home in yourself.

  • Maybe it's the book you keep rewriting but never publish.
  • The website that's almost ready. Again.
  • The call you know you need to make. The opportunity you keep talking yourself out of.
  • Or the idea you've been carrying for years but haven't quite brought into the world.

You know what you want. So what happens inside you when it's time to move?

The Era of Fixing Is Over

Healing is not the endgame. It’s the clearing of the path.
We’ve spent lifetimes trying to fix, mend, and earn our way back to wholeness.

But what if you were never broken — only misaligned?

True transformation begins when you stop trying to get somewhere and start remembering who you already are.
When we end the war with ourselves, we awaken our greatest power: peace.

There's another way.

Embodied Freedom helps you change how you move, feel, respond, and live—by working with the relationship between your body, nervous system, emotions, and deeply learned patterns.

Rather than simply understanding what's holding you back, you have an opportunity to experience a different relationship with yourself.

Remember the Truth. Shift at the Root. Live Free & Clear™.

The Soma Sensei™ Path

To be a Soma Sensei™ is to become fluent in the language of the body and the field, to listen, translate, and respond from coherence.

Through breath, movement, and energy alignment, we remember the original rhythm of freedom, the rhythm we were born to move with.

1. Pain Relief & Physical Freedom

Feel at home in your body again.

Explore greater physical ease, more natural movement, coordination, mobility, and confidence in your body.

IN REAL LIFE, THAT CAN MEAN…

Walking, running, exercising, or sleeping more comfortably. Returning to activities you've been avoiding. Experiencing less restriction from stiffness, tension, or recurring discomfort.

Less planning your life around pain. More freedom to move and live.

2. Nervous System Recalibration

Build your capacity to meet life without losing yourself.

Develop greater flexibility in how you respond to stress, recover from activation, and remain connected to yourself under pressure.

IN REAL LIFE, THAT CAN MEAN…

Recovering more easily after a difficult conversation. Feeling less overwhelmed by responsibilities. Remaining present when something unexpected happens rather than automatically reacting, shutting down, or pushing through.

Less reactivity. Greater capacity. More choice.

3. Inner Alignment

Stop working against yourself.

Bring your thoughts, emotions, body, values, and choices into greater agreement so you can move forward with clarity and consistency.

IN REAL LIFE, THAT CAN MEAN…

Making clearer decisions without second-guessing everything. Following through on what matters. Saying yes when you mean yes—and no when you mean no.

Less inner conflict. Clearer decisions. More aligned action.

4. Emotional Freedom

Feel fully without being ruled by what you feel.

Expand your ability to recognize, express, and integrate emotions rather than suppressing them, becoming consumed by them, or organizing your life around avoiding them.

IN REAL LIFE, THAT CAN MEAN…

Having difficult conversations without losing your center. Expressing anger without exploding. Allowing yourself to grieve, celebrate, rest, or experience joy without judgment.

More emotional freedom. Greater expression. Less resistance to yourself.

5. Identity Reclamation

Discover who you are beyond who you've learned you must be.

Recognize and update protective roles, beliefs, and patterns so you're no longer limited by identities organized around survival, approval, achievement, or fear.

IN REAL LIFE, THAT CAN MEAN…

Letting go of the constant need to prove yourself. Moving beyond perfectionism or people-pleasing. Asking for help without feeling inadequate. Pursuing what matters without waiting to become someone else.

Less proving. Less pretending. More freedom to be fully yourself.

6. Embodied Self-Trust

Learn to listen to yourself—and trust what you discover.

Deepen your relationship with your body and inner knowing so your choices are informed by your whole experience, not just your thoughts.

IN REAL LIFE, THAT CAN MEAN…

Recognizing when something isn't right for you. Trusting your instincts rather than constantly seeking approval. Speaking up. Setting boundaries. Taking opportunities that reflect your values.

And remaining connected to yourself while connecting deeply with others.

Trust yourself. Feel at home in your body. Be fully seen. Bring your gifts into the world.

Why Is Change Sometimes So Hard—Even When You Know Better?

Because understanding something intellectually doesn't always change how you experience it.

  • You can know you deserve rest and still feel guilty when you stop.
  • Know you need a boundary and still feel afraid to set one.
  • Know you're capable and still find yourself shrinking when it's time to be seen.
  • Know you want something different and still feel pulled toward what's familiar.

The challenge isn't always a lack of knowledge, motivation, or willpower.

Often, patterns beneath conscious awareness are influencing what you feel, how you respond, and what you believe is possible.

Sure, You're Moving. But Are You Moving Forward?

Sometimes what keeps us stuck looks remarkably like progress.

Another course. Another certification. Another business idea. Another round of research.

You ask for guidance, but when it's time to act, you find reasons to wait—or decide your situation is simply too different for the advice to apply.

Not every delay is avoidance. Sometimes more preparation is genuinely needed.

But sometimes, all that movement is like rocking in a chair.

You're moving. You're working. You're exhausted. But you're not getting any closer to what you really want.

What if the next step isn't doing more?

What if it's discovering what happens inside you when you imagine actually moving forward?

The Three Obstacles to Freedom™

1. Stagnant Energy

When something within you wants to move, but its expression keeps getting interrupted.

It might be an emotion you've learned to suppress.

A desire you've stopped acknowledging.

A voice you've learned to quiet.

Or a creative impulse, movement, or possibility that repeatedly gets set aside.

Sometimes it's expressed as physical bracing, restricted movement, or a sense of being stuck. Other times, it's the unfinished book, the conversation you keep avoiding, or the part of yourself you've stopped allowing into the world.

Ask yourself: Where is life trying to move through me that I keep stopping?

The opportunity: Restore movement and expression.

Through breath, movement, sound, emotional expression, and conscious participation, explore what becomes possible when more of you is free to move.

2. Inner Conflict

When different parts of you are pulling in different directions.

One part wants to move forward. Another wants to stay safe.

You say freedom matters, but your days are organized around obligation.

You value your health, but consistently sacrifice your well-being to meet everyone else's needs.

You want to be seen, yet something in you associates visibility with danger.

These patterns aren't necessarily signs of weakness or self-sabotage. They may reflect competing needs, learned responses, or protective strategies that haven't yet come into agreement.

Ask yourself: Where am I divided against myself?

The opportunity: Restore alignment and inner agreement.

Recognize the conflict, understand what each response is attempting to accomplish, and develop greater coherence between what matters to you and how you live.

Call To Action

3.Disempowerment

When your authority, knowing, or capacity to choose has been placed outside yourself.

You wait for permission.

Look to others for answers you don't trust yourself to discover.

Feel responsible for other people's reactions.

Or find yourself saying, "I can't," "I have no choice," or "Once they change, then I can…"

Sometimes disempowerment is subtle.

You know what you want but keep allowing circumstances, expectations, or old patterns to determine what happens next.

Ask yourself: Where am I giving away the authorship of my experience?

The opportunity: Reclaim agency and conscious choice.

Reconnect with what you know, what you value, what you want, and the choices available to you.

Freedom comes from inner agreement.

These obstacles are not inner enemies.

They are opportunities to recognize where your natural capacities for movement, alignment, and choice have become limited.

There are no inner enemies, only inner me's.

You Don't Need to Become Whole

You need to remember and inhabit the wholeness that's already yours.

Sometimes life teaches us to shrink.

We Learn to:

  • To hide what we feel.
  • To withhold our gifts.
  • To keep everyone else comfortable.
  • To hold everything together while leaving ourselves behind.

We may become so practiced at protecting, proving, performing, or pleasing that we forget what it feels like to fully inhabit our own lives.

But your experience of disconnection is not evidence that your wholeness has disappeared.

What if you could begin returning to yourself?

What if you could create from the fullness of who you are, rather than from the fear of what might happen if you were fully seen?

What If Becoming Isn't About Becoming Someone New?

We spend so much of our lives trying to become more confident, more courageous, more worthy, more successful.

But what if becoming isn't about adding something to who you are?

What if it's about allowing more of who you already are to come forward?

BE → COME.

To become is to come more fully into Being.

Nothing broken. Nothing missing.

There may be courage you've stopped expressing. Truth you've learned to withhold. Love you've protected. Gifts you've postponed sharing.

And there may be skills you still need to learn, capacities you want to develop, and experiences that can support you.

But learning something new doesn't make you more worthy or more whole.

Becoming is allowing more of your Being to come into expression through your human life.

What in you is asking to be more fully expressed now?

Freedom Is More Than What You Leave Behind

Living in freedom isn't simply about overcoming pain, releasing old patterns, or managing stress.

It's about creating a life you love—not in reaction to what has happened, but in devotion to what matters most.

A life where you can trust yourself.

Feel at home in your body.

Be fully seen.

And bring your gifts into the world.

Freedom isn't only what you release.

It's what you become available to create.

Your freedom is not only something you experience. It's something you live and something you bring to the world.

It invites you to return to what's real and true for you and live from that connection.

Beyond Understanding. Into Experience.

Your body is not separate from your transformation.

It is part of how transformation becomes possible.

For more than 20 years, Takiyah Gettys has worked with people experiencing physical pain, movement restrictions, stress, and deeply rooted patterns, helping them explore new possibilities for freedom.

Her approach integrates therapeutic movement, nervous system regulation, somatic awareness, emotional integration, intuitive exploration, and transformational practices.

Rather than addressing only what you think or how you behave, the work explores how your movement, emotions, learned beliefs, protective responses, and choices influence one another.

How the Work Happens

Therapeutic Movement & Body Reconnection

Explore how your body moves, organizes, compensates, and responds. Develop greater awareness, coordination, and physical ease through intentional movement.

Nervous System Regulation & Breathwork

Use breath, movement, attention, and embodied practices to become more aware of stress responses and support your ability to return to steadiness.

Somatic Awareness & Embodied Intelligence

Learn to recognize sensations, impulses, and signals from your body. Discover how this information can support self-understanding and conscious choice.

NeuroSomatic Recoding

Explore learned emotional responses, beliefs, and protective patterns through experiential processes intended to support new learning and internal change

Emotional & Subtle-Body Release

Create space to acknowledge, express, and explore releasing what you've been carrying through somatic, emotional, vocal, and subtle-body practices.

Intentional Choice & Integration

Translate what you discover into your movement, relationships, communication, boundaries, leadership, and everyday decisions.

Your feelings aren't just ideas in your mind.

They also have a felt dimension in your body.

A tightening chest. A knot in your stomach. A held breath. An impulse to retreat.

These sensations don't automatically tell you what they mean. But they give you somewhere to begin.

Instead of immediately overriding, escaping, or judging your experience, you can turn toward it with curiosity.

What if what you've been avoiding feeling is where your freedom begins?

The body becomes a doorway to presence, self-understanding, and conscious choice.

“When your inner architecture aligns with creation, freedom becomes your natural state.”

The Embodied Freedom Equation

The field creates the shift.

The structure makes it sustainable.

Alignment integrates the truth of who you are into how you live, lead, and love.

Each aligned action becomes a declaration of sovereignty.

Living the Frequency of Freedom

Living in the frequency of freedom means creating a life that you love, not in reaction to pain, but in devotion to purpose.

It means awakening each day with the courage to be fully expressed, fully aligned, fully alive.

Because this isn’t just about your personal peace —
it’s about your participation in the collective tipping point of consciousness.

Not only does this anchor your own peace, it contributes to the field of possibility for all.
Your alignment becomes an act of service.
Your coherence becomes a beacon.
And your freedom becomes the invitation for others to remember their own.

My Journey Into This Work

From a somatic release on a horse farm during one of my family’s darkest chapters, to a meditation awakening that dropped me to my knees, to the moment my mentor, who’s shared the screen with Tony Robbins and the Dalai Lama, called me “the best I’ve ever seen.”

I’ve witnessed miracles:

  • Helping a woman bedridden for six years release her pain and walk again.

  • Guiding a leader stepping into her highest visibility, breaking shackles of fear in real time.

These moments confirmed what I know to be true: healing is possible, and freedom is your birthright.

I created Freedom in Motion as a living practice for this philosophy, a place where movement, breath, and awareness merge into freedom. Come feel it for yourself.

Feel the Difference for Yourself
