We notice tightness becoming chronic so we try stretching — which often doesn’t work. Here’s why: tightness is frequently a sign of weakness and instability, not inflexibility. Stretching a weak, unstable area can actually make the condition worse.

The body compensates quietly for months or even years. Until one movement finally exceeds what the system can handle. That’s when people say: “It happened out of nowhere.” It rarely does.
